Calling to book an appointment

A simple script for booking by phone.

Before you dial

Have a few date/time options and your details (name, maybe an ID or insurance) ready. Jot down what you want to say.

Opening

When they answer, say what you want simply.

💬 “Hi, I’d like to book an appointment for [reason].”

Working out a time

They’ll offer slots; pick one or ask for another. It’s fine to ask them to slow down or repeat.

💬 “Could you repeat that time?”

Before hanging up

Confirm the date, time, and place, and ask what to bring. Then thank them — you’re done.
